Why do we need to fundraise?

We need to raise funds to ensure we can carry out our aims, objectives and purpose.

What will money be used for?

1. To help cover our empowerment worker wages. (The tenants will have 1 day per week per house/per 2 people)

2. To pay for the refurbishment of the houses we have for items such as beds, sofas, table, chairs, paint, carpets etc.

3. Covering rent if we have any periods with no tenants in one of our houses.

Our fundraising will come under several headings:

1. One-off donations from individuals or businesses;

2. Monthly standing order giving (This is great providing us with a stable and steady income);

3. Grants from local authorities other charities, lottery fund, local businesses etc. (We will have to apply for and meet the criteria for these);

4. Events, raffles; one-offs and a core of annual events - check out our Events page.
